Mr. France
I am relatively new to St. Andrew’s, having joined the team in the summer of 2025. I have been teaching for the past ten years, most of which has been in Key Stage 2. I have a particular passion for History and Geography, and I am delighted to have taken on the role of History and Geography coordinator. Alongside History and Geography, my favourite subjects are English and Science. I am especially looking forward to teaching our Mayan topic this year.
Outside the classroom, I love to travel and explore historical sites - from the Orkney Islands to the jungles of Mexico. I am also an enthusiastic gardener and enjoy growing a wide variety if frsh fruit and vegetables on my allotment. At home, I have two much loved pets; a budgie named Oden and a rabbit named Gallup.
Miss. Fox
Luckily, we have Miss Fox supporting us in Class 3 this year. She has worked at St. Andrews for the last nine years in various year groups. She loves music and particularly singing and participating in the school choir. Her favourite subject is music and she is looking forward to participating in as many music lessons and activities as possible. Miss Fox is very excited about all the wonderful subjects we will be studying next year and cannot wait to get started.

Homework
Children will be set English, Maths and/or Topic homework weekly. The homework will relate to the work we have been doing in class that week or the work we will be doing in the upcoming week. Homework will be set on a Friday and children can receive £3 (School money) if they bring it back on Monday, £2 Tuesday and £1 Wednesday. Homework club will be offered for any children who need a bit of help.
Key Dates to Remember
Your child’s PE lessons will take place on a Tuesday morning meaning children need to bring in their PE kits every week or be left in school. Full PE kit is expected during lessons with pumps that fit in case we decide to work outside and no jewellery is to be worn on this day.
Swimming also takes place each week on a Friday, children need to bring in towels, swimwear (full costume for girls and trunks for boys), swim caps (sold at £3 leisure centre) and an appropriate bag to contain them. Swimwear will be sent home every week after the lesson.
All of us in year three are more than happy to speak with you so please don’t hesitate to come into school and speak to us. Alternatively, we will also be available on Dojo and Seesaw.
We much appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you during the coming year.
Mr. France
