St Andrews Primary School is an expanding school with a warm friendly atmosphere where pupils can learn for life and the learning is fun. Our aims are to provide a learning environment, which is happy, and where pupils enjoy learning. Pupils can achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations; develop independence and learn the benefits of working within a team. Everyone feels loved and important and staff & children are encouraged to set a good example.
Our classrooms provide effective learning environments by having bright and colourful displays. We improve our learning and skills through fun and challenging activities. We develop spiritually and learn important life values through RE, PSHE, drama and topical assemblies. We feel that we are all part of the school family, known by all the teachers and assistants, supported by the Learning Mentor and listened to by the School Council.
St Andrew’s is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Every member of staff recognises that safeguarding against radicalisation and extremism is no different to tackling any other vulnerability in today’s society. We work together to protect all our children from being radicalised or exposed to extremist views.
