My name is Mrs Shackleton, I am the Foundation Stage Leader. I have worked at St Andrews for 19 years. I graduated from university in 2012 with a degree in Early Childhood Studies. I have since gained Early Years Teacher Status and more recently Qualified Teacher Status.
I am pleased and excited to be working alongside Mr Harling, Mrs Lloyd and Miss Culshaw this year.
I look forward to creating a fun, challenging and exciting learning environment to ensure the children have a happy and enjoyable first year at school!
This is my fourth year at St Andrews Primary School and I will be working with Foundation Stage, this academic year. I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2014 where I did a primary education degree with P.E as a specialism.
I am a keen sportsman and play football and tennis regularly in addition to cycling. Furthermore I have experience of teaching more obscure sports such as orienteering, fencing and aeroball due to my previous job as an activity instructor at an outdoor learning centre. I hope I can use these skills to benefit the school as a whole.
I’m excited to be working alongside Mrs Lloyd this year.
