School Dinners

At St Andrew's children can choose to bring a packed lunch or have a freshly cooked school meal. All our school meals are prepared freshly in school each morning and meet with the food guidelines set out by the government.

How much?

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 there will be no charge for school meals as part of a government initiative. For Years 3 to 6, charges are £2.00 per meal / £10.00 per week. We try to keep our charges as low as possible so that all pupils have the opportunity to enjoy a freshly cooked meal, drink and a tasty dessert. We kindly request that you provide at least one week's notice if your child is changing from dinners to packed lunches or vice versa.

Dinner money can be paid in a variety of ways:

  • Each Monday to the office in a sealed envelope with your child's name and class written on
  • Via our online payment system which allows you to pay by debit/credit card. Bills are put on for the half term and parents have the flexibility to pay by instalments over the term (please enquire at the office if you would like this setting up)

Packed Lunches

Children can also bring a packed lunch if they prefer. At St Andrew's we work towards children bringing healthy lunchboxes to school, so please do not send glass bottles, fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate. Make your child's school packed lunch healthier with these great lunchbox ideas:
