I came to St Andrew’s in September 2010 having qualified in 2009 with a degree in Primary Education. I joined the school as Year 4 teacher and carried out this role until 2014 before teaching Year 1. For the last three years I have taught Year 2 and I am now looking forward to new challenges teaching in Year 3. I have enjoyed myself immensely throughout my eight years at St Andrew’s and have continued to build excellent relationships with both staff and pupils. This year, I will continue to take on the role of Computing subject leader as well as being the Educational Visits Co-ordinator and Teacher Governor.
We are very fortunate in Year 3 to have the assistance of Mrs Kaminski and Mr Fort, both who are dedicated members of staff and work extremely hard with the children to assist their learning.
We will start the year with our first topic ‘There’s No Place like Home’ which will involve lots of work looking at Oswaldtwistle both geographically and historically. In Year 3 we will cover lots of other exciting topics including:
- Healthy Humans
- The Iron Man
- Rock and Roll
- What The Romans Did
- How Does Your Garden Grow
