The Curriculum

Our broad and balanced curriculum is centered around the needs of our children. We aim to provide them with exciting and memorable learning experiences that will stay with them forever. Our curriculum also incorporates learning about the history and geography of our school and the local area, so that our pupils feel a sense of belonging and respect for the community around them. English and Maths are at the heart of everything we teach so that our pupils leave us with essential life skills and the ability to find out more for themselves.

Our teaching of Christianity gives our children a strong understanding of right and wrong. Staff and governors demonstrate our core values of compassion, trust, friendship and forgiveness. The curriculum promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Our curriculum is creative and incorporates all subjects, recognising the importance and ever-changing world of computing and developing the whole child who has experienced art, science and music. It is very important to us that parents and carers take an active interest in the learning of their child and help us to develop their interests and ambitions.

We involve our pupils in the development of the curriculum and through the School Council they have the opportunity to have a say in all areas of school life.
